<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collation system and a collation method during forwarding capable of automatically performing actual article collation work, and reliably eliminating any mistaken forwarding of a product. <P>SOLUTION: The collation system comprises a physical distribution control system consisting of a bar code reader for reading a two-dimensional bar code reflecting a label display item printed on a product label, a computation unit for processing the data for the physical distribution control, a forwarded actual article database for storing the actual article data subjected to the data processing, and a communication processing unit 23 for performing the communication with the bar code reader.
