摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic-made optical transmission body and an optical fiber cable, in which cores have excellent transparency and are made of resin composition composed essentially of polyvinyl chloride-based resin allowed as an optical resin material and in which bending loss is improved, and connection to a light source, a lens, etc., is satisfactory. SOLUTION: The plastic-made optical transmission body is provided with one or more clad layers on the outer periphery of the core layer. The core layer is made of resin composition composed essentially of polyvinyl chloride-based resin. The clad layers is made of resin layers of one or more kinds of polyvinyl chloride-based resin, acrylic resin, fluoride-based resin, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and vinyl acetate-vinyl chloride copolymer having a lower refractive index than the core layer.
