PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically vary a value of an EDID according to operation and processing (for example, different picture quality setting processing, resolution setting processing, and audio processing of TV from usual) of a digital television broadcast receiving device. SOLUTION: An HDMI processing IC 1 in the digital television broadcast receiving device 111 has a built-in first rewritable EDID memory 12 which stores an EDID. A second nonvolatile EDID memory 3 is externally connected to the HDMI processing IC 1. A controller 14 enables the EDID in the first EDID memory to be read when a television receiving circuit is in operation and enables an EDID in the second EDID memory to be read when not.
