PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of performing more accurate white balance adjustment. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises a first imaging unit, a second imaging unit, and a white balance operation unit. The first imaging unit and the second imaging unit image an object, respectively, based on light flux passed through a photographing optical system. The white balance operation unit operates a white balance adjustment amount based on either color information of a first image picked up by the first imaging unit or color information of a second image picked up by the second imaging unit.
