PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance manufacturing yield and to attain reduction of manufacturing costs by appropriately acquiring information about an image detecting element connected to wiring even in a case where abnormality such as disconnection occurs at a peripheral portion of an image detecting element group, in an image signal capturing method for capturing an image signal from an image detector comprising a number of image detecting elements and dummy detecting elements disposed around the image detecting elements. SOLUTION: In a case where disconnection occurs on data wiring D5 in an image detection area where image detecting elements are disposed, pixel data of image detecting elements connected to the data wiring D5 are interpolated on the basis of pixel data captured by image detecting elements and dummy detecting elements connected to data wiring D2, D3, D4, D6, D7, D8.
