PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide emulsion suitable for providing a cinematographic positive film excellent in pressure resistance as well as sensitivity, and to provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material using the emulsion. SOLUTION: One grain in all silver halide grains contained in the silver halide emulsion has an average silver bromide content of 0.1-5 mol%, an average silver chloride content of≥90 mol% and an average silver iodide content of 0.01-1.0 mol%, and the silver halide grains have a core/shell structure and contain silver iodide distributed band-like in the shell.
