PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device that has fewer components to be composed and that facilitates manufacturing. SOLUTION: The optical semiconductor device includes: an insertion part 11 in which an optical transmission member is inserted; a storage part 13 in which an optical semiconductor element 12 to be optically coupled to the optical transmission member is stored; a housing 14 equipped with a pair of oppositely facing slit-shaped grooves 21 formed in front of the insertion part 11 and with a restraining part 15 formed on the inner wall of the groove 21 and provided with a pair of oppositely facing projected parts 22, 23; and a cover body 16 provided with a rotary shaft 20 at one end of both sides and engaged rotatably, with the rotary shaft 20 force-fitted in the groove 21 of the restraining part 15, in response to the insertion/drawing of the optical transmission member.
