PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller screw which can cope with the arrangement of rollers along the helicoidal loaded roller passage and the straight passage of the unloaded roller return passage. SOLUTION: Both surfaces 5a of a retainer 5 to be brought into contact with rollers 4 are partitioned into an inner circumferential side region 23 on an inner circumferential side of the loaded roller passage 3 and an outer circumferential side region 24 on an outer circumferential side of the loaded roller passage 3 respectively in the state that the retainer 5 is arranged in the loaded roller passage 3. The inner circumferential side region 23 of the retainer 5 holds neighboring rollers 4 in the loaded roller passage 3 such that the distance between the neighboring rollers 4 is small on the inner circumferential side of the loaded roller passage 3 and is large on the outer circumferential side. Further, the outer circumferential side region 24 of the retainer 5 holds the neighboring rollers 4 in the straight passage 11 such that the center lines of the neighboring rollers 4 are in a row so as to be parallel with each other viewed from the side of the straight passage 11.
