PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flange lifter adapted to improve positioning accuracy of a workpiece with a simple configuration and to eliminate inaccurate positioning in outer peripheral bending work. SOLUTION: The flange lifter 20 includes: a vertically movable lifter guide post 22; a lift plate 24 attached to the lifter guide post 22; a positioning gage 25 attached to the lift plate; and a movable stopper 27 for stopping the lifter guide post so that the positioning gage does not move in the state that a workpiece peripheral edge Wa strikes against the positioning gage. When the positioning gage and the lifter guide post are moved downward by being pressed by a preceding pin 13b protruding downward from an upper die 13, a pad 12 moves downward to press the workpiece W to the upper face 11a of the lower die 11 and thereafter the movable stopper 27 retreats, thereby releasing braking of the positioning gage and the lifter guide post.
