PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microbubble generation apparatus capable of generating very fine bubbles independently of the pressure of a gas to be supplied or the flow rate of a liquid. SOLUTION: The microbubble generation apparatus comprises a bubble releasing body 8 with a plurality of bubble releasing holes on a bubble releasing surface forming a boundary with the liquid, a main body casing 9 for holding the bubble releasing body 8, a gas chamber 11 communicated with the bubble releasing holes, an air supply pipeline 7 for supplying the gas to the gas chamber 11, and a relative driving means for moving the bubble releasing body 8 relatively to the liquid and generating the relative flow of the liquid on the bubble releasing surface. The bubble releasing body 8 forms a planar shape for which a blade part 10 projected into the relative flow of the liquid is integrally formed on the bubble releasing surface.
