PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum laundry machine or a drum washing and drying machine which is easy to take the laundry in and out, has good detergency, does not damage the laundry much, is compact, and does not vibrate much and/or has a low noise level. SOLUTION: An outer tub which is prepared in an outer frame chassis, is cylindrical, and collects washing water, a cylindrical washing drum tub which is prepared in the outer tub rotatably and holds the laundry and the washing drum tub are provided. It is characterized in that the diameter D of the washing drum tub and the anteroposterior length L of the washing drum tub are (D/2)/L=0.9-1.1 in a drum laundry machine or a drum washing and drying machine which installs the rotation axis center line of the washing drum tub obliquely so that an input opening which is prepared on the anterior end side of the washing drum tub is obliquely upward.
