PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood component collecting apparatus suppressing reduction in the collection ratio of a blood component to be collected, while preventing the reduction of the amount of treatment blood. SOLUTION: The blood component collecting apparatus is configured to perform a plasma circulation process by operating a second solution sending pump without interrupting a plasma collecting process in the middle of the plasma collecting process being performed by operating a first solution sending pump. When the amount of the treatment blood becomes a prescribed amount in the middle of the performance of the plasma circulation process, the solution sending speed of the second solution sending pump is reduced so as to reduce a plasma circulation flow rate. That is, the solution sending speed of the second solution sending pump is comparatively highly set so as to increase the plasma circulation flow rate in a period from the start of the plasma circulation process till the amount of the treatment blood becomes the prescribed amount. Subsequently after the amount of the treatment blood becomes the prescribed amount, the solution sending speed of the second solution sending pump is comparatively lowly set, so as to reduce the plasma circulation flow rate.
