A method of producing a wearing article has an integration step for longitudinally stretching first band-like sheets (120a, 120b) that are longitudinally stretchable and joining and integrating longitudinal side edges of the first band-like sheets to a second band-like sheet (120c) that is substantially not longitudinally stretchable; a joining step for layering a combined sheet (120), which is obtained in the integration step, on another structural member (130) of the wearing article and joining them together; and a cutting step for cutting a layered combined body (110), which is obtained in the joining step and composed of the combined sheet (120) and the another structural member (130), into sections of a predetermined length.
