A cathode ray tube is provided to reduce landing movement amounts of electron beams by suppressing doming of a shadow mask through shape improvement of a non-holed part thereof. A cathode ray tube includes a tube(16), an electron gun(20), a deflection yoke(22), and a shadow mask(26). The tube includes a panel having a phosphor screen therein and a funnel and a neck at the rear side of the panel. The electron gun is fixed into the neck. The deflection yoke is fixed at the funnel. The shadow mask includes a holed part having plural through halls, a non-holed part for surrounding the holed part, and a skirt part bended over from an edge of the non-holed part toward the electron gun. The holed part includes a pair of long sides, a pair of short sides, and four corner parts implemented by the long and short sides. The non-holed part includes a pair of long sides disposed in a first width with the long sides of the holed part, a pair of short sides disposed in a second width the short sides of the non-holed part, and four corner parts disposed in a third width with the four corner parts of the holed part. The first and second widths are smaller than the third width.
