PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a neighboring station that has received a request-to-send (RTS) packet to start transmitting operation by canceling a network allocation vector (NAV) in response of a failure of an RTS/clear-to-send (CTS) transmission/reception preparation process.
SOLUTION: When an HI terminal as a neighboring station receives an RTS packet, the HT terminal sets a first NAV 1 on the basis of legacy signal field (L-SIG) Duration. Continuously, the HT terminal attempts detection of a data packet from an RTS packet transmission source just for a period adding only a predetermined time α to the NAV 1, judges that a transmission/reception preparation process fails when no packet is received within the period, cancels a NAV 2 based on MAC Duration, and starts transmitting operation.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
