MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THERMAL TRANSFER IMAGE ACCEPTING SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image accepting sheet which has an improved state of a surface and enables attainment of an excellent printing finish.

SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of the thermal transfer image accepting sheet which has at least one accepting layer containing at least one kind of polymeric latex on a substrate and has at least one heat insulating layer containing hollow particles between the accepting layer and the substrate, at least two layers including the accepting layer and the heat insulating layer are formed by simultaneous multilayered coating at a coating speed of 50 m/min or more by using water-based coating solutions. The concentration of any volatile organic solvent in the water-based coating solutions used for the simultaneous multilayered coating is 2 mass% or less.
