摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel enzyme and gene thereof which are effectively usable for the large quantity production of cotylenin and 12-deoxyfusicoccin which are promising as an anticancer drug, and fusicocca-2,10(14)-diene which is useful as a raw material for producing derivatives thereof, and also to provide a method for producing fusicocca-2,10(14)-diene by using the enzyme and a vector and transformant which are used for the production of the enzyme. <P>SOLUTION: The chimera-type fusicoccane synthase has in an N-terminal region a terpene cyclase domain comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 or a functionally equivalent sequence thereof, and has in a C-terminal region a prenyltransferase domain comprising an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 or a functionally equivalent sequence thereof.
