<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of managing a reply status for received data or transmitted data. <P>SOLUTION: A reply management memory stores identification information specifying facsimile data transmitted with a request of reply attached thereto and reply non-received information indicating that the reply has not been received while associating them with each other. When a transmission source apparatus that has transmitted the facsimile data transmits the identification information and reply response information indicating the reply of the facsimile data specified by the identification information, the reply non-received information being stored in the reply management memory is updated to reply received information indicating that the reply has been received.
