PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning fork type bent crystal oscillating element in which a turn over temperature in temperature characteristics becomes +25°C while suppressing a CI value lower than or equal to a conventional value, and to provide a crystal oscillator mounted with the tuning fork type bent crystal oscillating element and a crystal oscillator. SOLUTION: The tuning fork type bent crystal oscillating element is provided with at least one groove having an opening on the front principal surface of an oscillating arm part, at least one groove having an opening on a rear principal surface thereof, a bottom surface within the groove having the opening on the front principal surface, and a bottom surface within the groove having the opening on the rear principal surface formed, respectively, at positions where they do not face each other, within the oscillating arm part. A crystal oscillator mounted with the tuning fork type bent crystal oscillating element and a crystal oscillator are also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
