PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an I/O unit or the like of a programmable controller suitable for simplification or the like of a program. SOLUTION: The I/O unit 20 of the programmable controller has a data link means for linking data with a CPU unit side, and a means for executing a control program on the basis of a start instruction from the CPU unit. The data link means is provided with; a cyclic control information designating means for designating cyclic control information that desires data link in cyclic control information involved in control program execution of the CPU unit; a cyclic control information collecting means for cyclically collecting the cyclic control information designated by the cyclic control information designating means; and a cyclic control information transferring means for transferring the cyclic control information collected by the cyclic control information collecting means to the CPU unit according to the designated data link.
