PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite powder which reinforces the effect of interference light, and is excellent in effects for enhancing transparency and for making three-dimensional appearances prominent, when compounded with cosmetics. SOLUTION: Provided is the composite powder prepared by coating flaky glass substrates having interference light with Black No.401. It is preferable that the Black No.401 is Black No.401 adhered to hydrotalcite type laminar compound oxide inorganic flake particles. It is preferable that the flaky glass substrates having interference light are glass substrates prepared by disposing titanium dioxide layers on flaky glass substrates. It is preferable that the flaky glass substrates have an average particle diameter of 10 to 4,000μm, a thickness of 0.01 to 20μm, and an aspect ratio (major axis/thickness) of 1 to 200. The content of Black No.401 in the composite powder is preferably 1 to 3%. A cosmetic contains the composite powder. The cosmetic is preferably a make-up cosmetic. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
