PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing method which enables the generation of odors from organic sludge to be inhibited regardless of the water content of the organic sludge, and to provide a deodorizer for organic sludge which can be used for the deodorizing method. SOLUTION: The deodorizing method comprises the first process for mixing the organic sludge with a volatile fatty acid decomposing mold, and the second process for culturing the mold mixed with the organic sludge in the first process.
