PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and reliably adjust a mobile range in a lateral direction or a longitudinal direction in response to at least a kind of holding arms together with the exchange of the holding arm. SOLUTION: An arm identification member 131, for example, is removably mounted on one of the holding arms 120 different in kind (large, middle, small). The holding arm 120 is freely removably mounted on an arm base 115 which is freely rotatable by an arm opening/closing member 117a, for example. When an arm detection sensor 116 detects the kind (large, middle, small) of the holding arm 120 via the arm identification member 131, the amount of rotation of an X-direction mobile motor 240 for moving an object holding device 100 in the lateral direction (the X-direction), for example, is controlled based on an adjustment value for adjusting the appropriate mobile range in the lateral direction (the X-direction) in response to the kind of the holding arm 120.
