<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously edit the whole file and facilitate management of files. <P>SOLUTION: The file management device comprises a client device A to which "AAA" is assigned as a user ID uniquely identifying a user and a client device B to which "BBB" is similarly assigned, which are mutually communicably connected through a network. In such a configuration, the file management device stores an exclusive right owner device which shows, in association with identification information uniquely identifying a file, a client device which holds an exclusive right of allowing update of the file, and an assignment destination device which shows a client device to which the exclusive right is assigned, transmits an update approval request showing whether update of the file is approved or not to the exclusive right owner device when editing of the file is performed by the stored assignment destination device, and updates the file when the exclusive right owner device approves the transmitted update approval request. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
