<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag device mounted on a vehicle different in sizes of inflation spaces of a front seat side and a rear seat side, capable of securely protecting head parts of occupants seated in the front seat and rear seat, and equipped with an airbag body foldable using an automatic folding device. <P>SOLUTION: In the curtain airbag device wherein the airbag body (11) comprises a plurality of inflation parts (21, 22), a communication part (23) communicating between the plurality of inflation parts (21, 22), and an auxiliary seat part (25) integrally extending from a part of the outer periphery of the inflation parts (21, 22) and the communication part (23), and the airbag bodies (11, 40, 50) are inflatingly developed into a curtain shape in operation, the inflation heights of the inflation part (21, 22) are different between at the least two inflation parts (21, 22), the overall shape of the airbag body (11) is of generally rectangular shape when the airbag body (11) is in a developed state before folding, and the upper and lower side portions (27, 28) of the airbag body (11) are disposed in parallel with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
