<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of an illumination unit in a mobile phone with an illumination function. <P>SOLUTION: A microcomputer 110 determines whether any one of operate keys 21-25 is pressed or not (step 310). Then, when any one of the operate keys 21-25d is pressed, a pulse signal with a flicker time ratio dy: 75% and a frequency: 100 Hz is outputted to a transistor 101 of an illumination device driving driver circuit 100 (step 340).
