<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of enhancing the rigidity of an outboard side while suppressing an increase of bearing weight. <P>SOLUTION: Double-row rolling bodies 7, 8 are interposed between opposed bearing surfaces 3-6 of an outer member 1 and an inner member 2. The inner member 2 comprises a hub wheel 18 having a hub flange 20 for mounting the wheel at an outboard side, and an inner ring 19 fitted to the in-board side. An outer diameter D1 of the hub wheel 18 at a central position P between both rolling body rows Lo, Li is made larger than the minimum diameter D2 of the bearing surface 6 at the in-board side. A pitch circle diameter PCDo of the ball 7 of the outboard side row Lo is made larger than a pitch circle diameter PCDi of the ball 8 at the in-board side row Li. In the inner ring 19, a portion at the outboard side more than the raceway surface 6 is made to be a small diameter part getting a smaller diameter than the minimum diameter of the bearing surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
