CIRCUIT SYSTEM WITH SUPPLY VOLTAGE FOR DRIVING ELECTROMECHANICAL SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating power source of a MEMS switch for controlling the operation of a load.

SOLUTION: A MEMS switch 20 is positioned in a circuit 10 to set a load 16 either in a conducting state or in a nonconducting state. A piezoelectric transformer 46 provides a high-voltage output signal or a low-voltage output signal and controls the open/closed state of the switch 20. Control circuitry 65 provides an input voltage signal 62 to the piezoelectric transformer 46, to make the high-voltage output signal or the low-voltage output signal generated at the output terminals of the piezoelectric transformer 46.
