<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with conventional displays wherein any information alternately displayed cannot be read until the reader reaches a distance where the reader can visually recognize (distance at which readable viewing can be started, hereafter referred to as readable distance) the letters of the same height as in the conventional displays (such as a predetermined height of letters =45 cm) since the letters are displayed in double stages. <P>SOLUTION: In this method of displaying road information by arranging a large number of light emitting elements such as LEDs in a matrix, the information displayed on the upper and lower stages is displayed on a display surface by changing, in order, the information on the upper stage to large, medium, small, medium, large fonts and the information on the lower stage to small, medium, large, medium, small fonts, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
