BURST DISC DEVICE AND REPLACEMENT METHOD FOR BURST DISC THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow easy access and quick replacement of a burst disc.

SOLUTION: This burst disc device is provided for a cryostat which has the replaceable burst disc 52 compressed and held between a high pressure flange 60 formed at the end of a high pressure conduit 12 and a low pressure flange 60 formed at the end of a low pressure conduit 14. It comprises a housing 50 having a first opening portion 20 sufficiently large for the burst disc to pass therethrough for sealing the high and low pressure flanges, and a compressing means 56 assigned around the housing for pushing at least one flange 60 to be moved toward another flange so that the burst disc 52 is compressed and held between the low pressure flange 60 and the high pressure flange 60.
