PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partitioning wall contamination preventive device capable of preventing a partitioning wall from being contaminated or deposited with scale, even when a solid substance is mixed in a treating material or the like, or even when a scale generating substance is contained therein, and a contamination preventive method for preventing the partitioning wall from being contaminated. SOLUTION: A clean water supply means for supplying clean water is provided in a space in a container side or pipe side of the partitioning wall of a detecting means provided in a short pipe 12, to the short pipe 12, in a container or pipe for storing a fluid to be measured provided with the short pipe 12 adjacently on a wall face, and attached with the detecting means to detect a situation of the fluid to be measured, through a space inside the short pipe 12, in a tip of the short pipe 12. The clean water is supplied into the space inside the short pipe 12 to form a clean water layer WL in the space inside the short pipe 12. The partitioning wall is prevented from being contaminated or deposited with the scale with the substance contaminated in the fluid to be measured, because the fluid to be measured is prevented from contacting directly with the partitioning wall of the detecting means.
