PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire enabling improvement of tear resistance of the tire, while maintaining uneven wear resistance of the tire. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire, a plurality of main sipes 41 and a plurality of auxiliary sipes 42 are arrayed in a tire peripheral direction along edge parts of land parts 33. At least one auxiliary sipe 42 is arranged between the adjacent main sipes 41. In this case, area for cutting the land parts 33 by the sipes 42 is called sipe area. At this time, sipe area S of the main sipes 41 and sipe area s of the auxiliary sipes 42 have a relationship of S more than s. The sipes are sectioned into tread surface side regions and tire internal side regions by making an intermediate position of a sipe depth as a boundary. At this time, sipe area a in the tread surface side region of the auxiliary sipes 42 and sipe area b in the tire internal side region (=s-a) have a relationship of a more than b.
