PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of improving a reliability of an electrical characteristic. SOLUTION: An LCD driver IC 14 (a semiconductor device) has a transistor element 31, a first STI separating layer 32, a second STI separating layer 33, an insulating film 41, and a resistor element 34. The second STI separating layer 33 is used to electrically separate the transistor element 31 together with the first STI separating layer 32. The resistor element 34 used for obtaining the electrical resistance is formed on the second STI separating layer 33 through the insulating film 41. The insulating film 41 is formed to be able to secure the withstand voltage to the voltage applied to the resistor element 34 even when there occurs a defect in the second STI separating layer 33 in a manufacturing process. The resistor element 34 is, for instance, a polysilicon film and connected to a contact plug formed in an interlayer insulating film 42 and a high-voltage terminal 39 (+15 V) through a metallic wiring layer.
