PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile object tracking device, capable of accurately tracking a mobile object. SOLUTION: The mobile object tracking device 1 adapted to track a single mobile object from an input image successively input thereto by use of a template includes an extraction part 30 which extracts a change area resulting from the mobile object from the input image; a template generation part 33 which generates a plurality of different templates from the change area; a storage part 20 which stores the mobile body in association with the plurality of templates; a matching means 42 which extracts a template candidate in which the template stored in the storage part 20 is similar to the input image; a determination means 43 which determines whether the template candidate corresponds to the change area extracted in the input image or not; and an update means which updates the template of the storage part 20 with the template candidate determined to correspond by the determination means 43.
