PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston ring such that aluminum adhering phenomenon thereto is effectively prevented from occurring. SOLUTION: This piston ring comprises a piston ring body; and a surface film formed on one of the upper and lower surfaces of the piston ring body or both the upper and lower surfaces of the piston ring.
