PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber sliding bearing body which blocks the transmission of a horizontal force to a lower structure by sliding an upper shoe by means of a sliding member, even if the horizontal force acting on an upper structure is small, which also exerts stable performance when subjected to vertical vibrations, and which simplifies and facilitates installation work. SOLUTION: An upper flange portion 5 having a sliding member 4 fixed to a surface thereof, is connected to an upper surface of a rubber laminate 6 in one body, and a lower surface of the rubber laminate 6 is fixed to an upper surface of a lower shoe 8, to thereby integrate the rubber laminate 6, the upper flange portion 5, and the lower shoe 8 together so as not to be vertically separated from each other. Notched portions 5a formed at the both ends, in a direction perpendicular to a bridge axis, of the upper flange portion 5, and side blocks 9 erected from the lower shoe 8, are fitted together, and therefore, the horizontal movement of the upper flange portion 5 is regulated and set in an immovable state.
