PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall surface repairing method which enables a wall surface to be properly finished even if existing wallpaper partially remains on the wall surface when it is stripped off. SOLUTION: The existing wall surface 10 comprises a board 1 and the wallpaper 2 which is stuck on the front surface of the board 1. When the existing wall surface 10 is repaired, firstly, the wallpaper 2 is stripped off from the wall surface. In this case, a part (backing paper 2a') of backing paper 2a remains on the front surface of board 1. An undercoating material 3 is applied onto the front surface of the backing paper 2a', and a finishing material 4 is applied onto the front surface of the undercoating material 3. Since the undercoating material 3 as a nonaqueous reaction-curing resin does not contain moisture, the remaining wallpaper is prevented from being swelled by the moisture from the nonaqueous reaction-curing resin.
