PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fine particles of a poorly crystalline copolyester resin which can be produced from a general-purpose monomer and shows a favorable solubility, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The fine particles of the poorly crystalline copolyester resin can be efficiently produced by heating and mixing the poorly crystalline copolyester resin with a water-soluble resin, dissolving the water-soluble resin in water, repeatedly washing with water to remove the water-soluble resin, preparing an aqueous suspension of the poorly crystalline copolyester resin, heating the suspension and applying supersonic waves.
