PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic surface modification method using a high-pressure fluid, capable of forming a metallic film of suitably controlled surface roughness and high adhesion. SOLUTION: The surface modification method is a plastic surface modification method using a high-pressure fluid and comprises penetrating a surfactant into the inside of a plastic surface by means of a high-pressure fluid and dissolving the surfactant penetrated into the plastic in a solvent to remove the surfactant from the plastic surface.
