ULTRAVIOLET-CURABLE COMPOSITION FOR OPTICAL DISK AND OPTICAL DISK

An ultraviolet-curable composition for optical disks which is for use in producing an optical disk which comprises a substrate and, formed thereover, at least a light-reflecting layer and a light-transmitting layer and in which information is reproduced using a laser light striking from the light-transmitting layer side. The composition is used for forming the light-transmitting layer. The ultraviolet-curable composition for optical disks comprises an epoxy (meth)acrylate, one or more (meth)acrylates having two radical-polymerizable unsaturated bonds, and a free-radical photopolymerization initiator, wherein the (meth)acrylates having two radical-polymerizable unsaturated bonds comprise a (meth)acrylate of a neopentylglycol hydroxypivalate compound, the content of the (meth)acrylate of a neopentylglycol hydroxypivalate compound is 10-40 mass%, and the content of the free-radical photopolymerization initiator is 1-4 mass%.
