<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the color mixture of a developer is suppressed even when the developer stuck to an object sticks to an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 4 is provided with: the image carrier 11; an exposure unit 17 which exposes the surface of the image carrier 11; a plurality of developing units 10 which store the developer and form a developer image on the surface of the image carrier 11 exposed by the exposure unit 17; a transfer means 12 which transfers the developer image formed on the image carrier 11 to a sheet 1; and a CPU 30 which stops an image forming operation, when the operation abnormality of the image forming operation for forming an image on the sheet 1 by the developer occurs and executes a first removal operation for exposing the surface to which the developer is adhered, of the image carrier 11 by the exposure unit 17 and transferring the developer adhering to the image carrier 11 to a belt by the transfer means 12, for the time period from when the image forming operation is stopped to when the image forming operation is resumed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
