PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, etc. for producing a reinforcing cord capable of making it possible to use effectively a material for coating formation without requiring an adhesive agent containing a solvent, etc. SOLUTION: In an inner part of a coating formation part 50 of a device 10 for producing a cord, a core metal 22 and a mouth ring 24 are set forth. Between the core metal 22 and the mouth ring 24, a space 26 for storing a coating forming material 16 temporally is formed. The coating forming material 16 becomes fluidizing state by heating in a cylinder 14 in a cylinder part 60. The coating forming material 16 is stirred by a screw 18, extruded in a surrounding part of an introducing tube 28 through a hollow room 30 and introduced into a space 26. The coating forming material 16 heated at an appropriate temperature is passed through a penetrating hole 24H together with a core wire material 12 in according to movement of the core wire material 12.
