PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of injection molding not only capable of manufacturing an organic inorganic composite material constituted by dispersing an inorganic fine particle in a thermoplastic resin capable of improving optical performance by injection molding capable of manufacturing at low cost but also capable of stabilizing shape transferability and an optical element manufactured by the injection molding method. SOLUTION: The injection molding method shaping the organic inorganic composite material constituted by dispersing the inorganic material in the thermoplastic resin has the step of injecting the organic inorganic composite material into the cavity 26 of the mold 1 kept in a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature Tg of the thermoplastic resin, the step of cooling down the mold 1 until the temperature of the mold 1 becomes lower than the glass transition temperature Tg of the thermoplastic resin, and the step of taking out the molding constituted of the organic inorganic composite material from the cavity 26 of the mold 1, and the average cooling rate in the step of cooling the mold 1 is 0.4 to 3.0 K/sec.
