PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence (EL)element realizing excellent carrier injection efficiency and assuring higher light-emitting luminance with a drive voltage lower than that in the conventional art and also provide an organic EL display. SOLUTION: After a layer formed of an electron receiving material and a layer formed of a hall transformation material are laminated on a lower electrode 12 as an anode formed on a substrate 11, a laminated layer structure is heated within a temperature range from a temperature lower than a glass transition temperature of the hall transportation material by 30°C to a temperature higher than that by 200°C. Accordingly, reactions of oxidization and reduction between the electron receiving material and hall transportation material are executed to generate an interface region 13c including a charge transfer complex between the electron receiving layer 13a and the hall transportation layer 13b. Thereafter, a light-emitting layer 14 and an upper electrode 15 as a cathode are formed sequentially. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
