PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a two-dimensional temperature distribution of an object to be observed under high temperature and high pressure environment. SOLUTION: A two-dimensional image of the object to be observed under high temperature and high pressure environment is transmitted by a pressure resistant fiberscope 1 contained in a cooling pipe 7. A light of near infrared region is taken out from this transmitted two-dimensional image by a wavelength filter 2. This light is picturized with CCD camera 3 which has sensitivity in near infrared region. The image processing part 5 converts a brightness value obtained from CCD camera 3 into temperature, then generates the two-dimensional temperature distribution image so as to display the two-dimensional temperature distribution of the object to be observed and displays in a monitor 6.
