METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OBJECT IDENTIFICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for object identification capable of detecting an accurate position of an object with a simple and inexpensive constitution.

SOLUTION: This device has an antenna 4 for irradiating a millimetric wave beam in the main lobe irradiation direction, and receiving a reflected wave from a detection object by a main lobe 10 and side lobes 11A, 11B; and a control means for determining reflection power intensity of the reflected wave received by the side lobes of the antenna, and determining that the received reflected wave is not a reflected wave from the detection object if a variation P per unit time of the determined reflection power intensity is over a prescribed value P1.
