PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the automatic setting function of a threshold value capable of extracting a stable and highly accurate changing picture element area, in an image processor having the area extracting processing function of extracting a rectangular area including a changing picture element from an image photographed by a monocular camera. SOLUTION: This image processor has an area extracting processing means for extracting the areas including the changing picture element from an input present image and the past image, by successively inputting the image photographed by the camera. The area extracting processing means has a calculating means for calculating a luminance average value and a standard deviation per picture element with a plurality of input images in a specific period as an object, and a threshold setting means for setting the standard deviation with every picture element calculated by the calculating means, to a threshold of the corresponding picture element for extracting the changing picture element.
