PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of achieving smooth turning of a lens barrel around an optical axis and movement thereof in an optical axis direction, easily coping with miniaturization and thinning, and easily and inexpensively manufactured. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus has: a substrate 1 on which an imaging device 2 is mounted; a lens tube 3 provided concentrically with the imaging device 2; the lens barrel 4 internally inserted from the edge part side of the lens tube 3 so that it can be pulled out; a photographic lens 5 fit in the lens barrel 4, a cover 6 having a through-hole 7 surrounding the edge part of the lens barrel 4 and provided at the edge part of the lens tube 3 so that it can be fit detachably; and a cam mechanism part 10 provided in the lens barrel 4, the lens tube 3 and the cover 6 so that the lens barrel 4 can turn around the optical axis relative to the imaging device 2 and also can move in the optical axis direction by turning around the optical axis.
