PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing aβ-copper phthalocyanine pigment having excellent pigment dispersibility from anα/βmixed crystal copper phthalocyanine. SOLUTION: The method for producing aβ-copper phthalocyanine pigment comprises the polymerization of at least one kind of polymerizable unsaturated monomer (B) soluble in a non-aqueous solvent and changing to insoluble or sparingly soluble after polymerization in the presence of anα/βmixed crystal copper phthalocyanine, the non-aqueous solvent and a polymer (A) soluble in at least one kind of non-aqueous solvent and selected from the group consisting of a polymer (A-1) having a polymerizable unsaturated group, an alkyd resin (A-2) and an acrylic-modified alkyd resin (A-3).
