PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time for exchanging a base paper roll by improving efficiency in carry-in/out of the base paper roll within a limited space inside a corrugator machine factory. SOLUTION: This base paper roll transporting device has an endless chain wound around a driving and a driven sprockets and connected to a pair of base paper roll transporting carriages. The endless chain has a first endless chain connected to one of the carriages and a second endless chain connected to the other of the carriages. The driving sprocket has a first driving sprocket for the first endless chain and a second driving sprocket for the second endless chain. Both the driving sprockets are provided on the same shaft in a rotary driving means, and a ratio between the diameter of the first driving sprocket and the diameter of the second driving sprocket is determined based on a first distance between both the carriages when the pair of carriages are positioned in waiting positions and a second distance between both the carriages when they are positioned in using positions.
